"When
I first came to your office, I was literally hobbled and
worn out by pain, desperate for relief, and nearly without
hope. After struggling with severe back pain nearly my entire
life due to breaking my back in my early teens, my back
had progressively deteriorated to the point that it was
literally a struggle to get up in the morning without my
husband's help. I felt like 90. I was 44. Over the course
of 20 years, I exercised and did physical therapy to try
and stave off the back pain. I also took copious amounts
of Ibuprofen and other medications to deal with the pain.
In the end, all remedies were only partially effective and
short-lasting at best, yet each relapse more debilitating.
Over the course of the last
three years, other aspects of my health began to erode:
I needed emergency surgery to remove my gall bladder, just
two weeks after having to have a hysterectomy. I was then
diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis after years of suffering
from urgency, pain, and frequency of urination. In fact,
it had been decades since I slept soundly because my bladder
would have me running to the bathroom upwards of seven times
throughout the course of a night's sleep.
Now the good news: Within
the first week of your chiropractic adjustments, I was bounding
up and down flights of stairs and sitting up in bed on my
own. By week two, I was bending, cleaning the house, and
shopping the mall without collapsing in tears afterward.
By week three, I realized I was sleeping through the night
and bouncing out of bed on my own like a kid. I now urinate
with the frequency of a healthy person and I can drink copious
amounts of water or coffee without fear or urgency. (Gone
is my motto of "10 minutes or 10 miles.") By week
four, I was wearing non-orthopedic shoes. In fact, I was
wearing girl shoes. (I've also been plagued by "chronic,
acute tendon-itis" in my feet since I was a toddler.
Guess what? Not any more!)
It is now three months into
treatment, and I have a new lease on life, as cliché
as that sounds. Honestly, the slightest ebbing of my back
pain would have been a total win for me. I had no idea all
my aches, pains and weird little afflictions would be erased.
I feel like I owe you my life; at least my quality of life.
I can now move forward with gusto to the business of energetically
taking care of my family and building my business. You rock!
My deepest and most sincere
respect, admiration, and gratitude."

"Several
years ago I was diagnosed as having sleep apnea, a sleeping
disorder that causes interruption in breathing due to excessive
snoring. It's considered serious and can lead to high blood
pressure and other serious health problems. The treatment
for this disorder is to wear a mask when asleep and have
air continuously pumped into the mouth so as to not have
an interruption in the breathing cycle. Needless to say,
this is uncomfortable and makes it hard to get a restful
sleep.
I started going to Dr. Karen
Jacobson, a Chiropractor in Scottsdale a while back in order
to improve my general health. I received Chiropractic adjustments
3 times a week. The visits helped measurably. Much to my
surprise and delight
I no longer suffer from the symptoms of Apnea. I don't snore
any longer, my breathing is steady and I no longer need
a mask.
Nothing has changed other
that I am seeing Dr. Jacobson for Chiropractic Care, so
it's an obvious conclusion that the adjustments I'm receiving
are the reason for the terrific improvement. I cannot say
enough about how Dr. Jacobson has helped me and continues
to help me achieve a substantial improvement in my overall
well being."

"Two
years ago my daughter and I were involved in a car accident.
I had recently started chiropractic care and called Dr.
Jacobson to see if she could examine our injuries. She took
some x-rays and adjusted us accordingly. I set up a plan
for McKaila. I learned there was more to chiropractic care
that what I had thought. McKaila’s health was amazingly
different. She had chronic ear infections and a doctor was
ready to put tubes in her ears. After getting adjusted she
has not had a single ear infection and has not been antibiotics
for 2 ½ years. My precious daughter has been significantly
healthy, and looks forward to her visits with Dr. Jacobson.
She is only 3 ½ and when you ask her why she gets
adjusted, she replies, "To stay healthy". I have
also enjoyed the benefits of being health and my body feels
better than it ever has before."

"As
a lifetime dancer and gymnast, my body and spine have been
subjected to abnormal stress and strain.
In 1970, while being trained
for the upcoming 1972 Olympics, I suffered from my 1st ruptured
disc, at the age of 16. Being in a near paralyzed state,
but hoping to avoid surgery, my parents inquired about alternatives,
including chiropractic. An orthopedic specialist told us
that chiropractic manipulation would cause severe damage.
The next 22 years revolved around painkillers, muscle relaxers,
interminable bed rest, etc. Then I ruptured the same disc
again.
I was fortunate to meet Dr.
Jacobson. At that time my mind was so programmed against
chiropractic, that it took Dr. Jacobson nearly a year to
talk me into coming in for just an exam and x-rays. Witnessing
my daily pain was enough to keep her persistent. To make
a long story short, I now only buy Ibuprophen for an occasional
headache. I haven’t seen a doctor or needed a drug
for back pain in over 3 years. Same old line – I wish
I knew then; what I know now.
I know now that we can ask almost anything of our bodies
physically, if we just take care of the major life support
system – the spine. I know now that I will acquire
a lifetime of health through continued chiropractic care.
I am eternally grateful to Dr. Jacobson for now I am Pain
Free, Drug Free and at last Healthy and Free."

"In
the past I have seen chiropractors because of car accidents
I had been in. I had not been in a few years. A few months
ago I came into Dr. Jacobson’s office mostly with
complaints of back pain. My job as a bellman keeps me very
active and doing much physical labor daily. I have grown
up with asthma and allergies. Most days I could not go without
having to use my inhaler several times. After just over
a month of adjustments and traction I noticed a significant
difference in my asthma and inhaler use. Some days I use
it not at all. I have also been told my posture and the
way I walk is different, straighter and more comfortable
looking. These little changes so far are big ones in my
life and will continue I am sure as I go."

"The
initial chiropractic exam you gave me explained why when
having my picture taken by the photographer she would say
“straighten your head.” Over the last few years
my Jr. H.S. students would ask me at the end of the day,
‘ are you limping?” Needless to say I was upset.
Over the last 3 and ½
months I have been experiencing changes and a better sense
of well being than I have in years. Within the first month
my GI track became regular. This I have never experienced
before! The leg pain from Fibromyalgia went away. I felt
I could breathe better. As the weeks have gone by, nobody
has said, “are you limping”, and my stress level
has been reduced. I can move my body much better, so much
so that I can now exercise again. This in turn is giving
me more energy. My body is starting to shape up and I am
losing weight."

P.S. As of my last re-eval I believe that
my head is on straighter.
